The Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Zanna Mustapha, has been confirmed dead.
Malam Adamu Dodo, the Public Relations Officer of Federal Medical Centre, Yola, Adamawa State, who confirmed the passing away of the deputy governor to the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday, said his remains was now in the hospital mortuary.
NAN learnt that the deputy governor was in Yola to attend the joint convocation ceremony of the Moddibo Adama University of Technology, Yola.
He was believed to have died of heart failure in the hotel he was lodged along Barracks Road in Yola.
A source at the hotel who preferred anonymity said: “We had to use spare key to open his door when there was no response from him in the morning.”
