Femi Adesina appointed MD, Sun newspaper

The President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, Femi Adesina, has been appointed as the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of Sun newspapers.
Adesina, the Deputy Managing Director/Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper, was appointed to the position on Tuesday by the Board of Directors of the company.
Adesina succeeds Tony Onyima who has served for four years.
Appointments to the company’s topmost position is for four years in the first instance and renewable for another four years.
The Board of Directors of the company, with businessman and former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, as chairman, announced the appointment after a meeting at the company’s premises in Apapa, Lagos State on Tuesday.
