Nigeria has lost out of the chase for a ticket to the female football event of the 2016 Olympics Games following a 2-3 loss to Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
The match was played in Bata, Equatorial Guinea.
The Falcons, who had gone into the lead in the first half, conceded the equaliser with barely four minutes to the end of the game.
Vera Okolo put the Falcons ahead.
And just when many were hoping the match would be settled via penalties, the Falcons conceded another goal in the extra time.
Both teams had earlier in the first leg in Nigeria played out a 1-1 draw.
Equatorial Guinea will now meet South Africa to decide who gets Africa’s sole ticket to next year’s Olympic Games in Rio.
