Fast growing celebrity journal, Exclusive International, managed by young media executive, Omooba Damilare Oloyede, has concluded plans to stage a first of its kind Ankara fashion show and pageant, tagged: “Exclusive Ankara Fashion Groove & Exhibition + Face of Ankara Fashion Beauty Pageant.”
The event, according to Dayo Oyewo, its publicist, is an avenue to promote African fashion to the outside world and also make Nigeria’s youth understand the value and gains of promoting the Ankara fashion trend.
The statement by Oyewo said: “Ankara Fashion Groove & Exhibition will afford fashion designers the opportunity to showcase their Ankara collections to politicians, corporate players, professionals, media executives, celebrities, entertainers and fashion conscious youths, also the Face of Ankara Fashion Beauty Pageant will promote our culture as this will be the first all-ankara beauty pageant of class and international standard.”
Exclusive International’s team of editors alongside the event consultant unanimously endorsed the duo of Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa and Hon. Nnena Ukeje as the joint Grand Patron of the event for their tremendous support for the Ankara fashion item and promotion of African fashion in the Diaspora.
Dabiri-Erewa is the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Diaspora Affairs, while Ukeje is the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs
Participants for the pageant were enjoined by the statement to get the registration form for N3,000 from designated sales points.
Entry closes on June 27, 2014.
