The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero; his son, Sanusi Ado Bayero, who is the Ciroman Kano; and a few guards travelled out of the country on Sunday for medical treatment, following injuries sustained during the attack on the emir’s convoy by suspected Boko Haram members.
Those who spotted Bayero and his team at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, Kano State, said they were headed for London, United Kingdom.
The emir was reported not to have sustained injuries but his son did.
The Ciroman Kano was hit by bullets.
In the attack, four persons died, including the emir’s driver.
