The All Progressives Congress Unity Campaign Organisation says antics by opposition political parties to deceive undecided electorate by dishing out falsehood would not affect President Muhammadu Buhari’s chances in the February 16, Presidential Poll.
Alhaji Enessy Suleiman, National Coordinator of the organisation, gave the assurance at a news conference on Wednesday in Abuja, saying that Buhari had done enough to deserve the votes of the electorate.
According to him, the country has witnessed an unprecedented improvement in infrastructural and economic development under the Buhari-led administration in the last three and half years.
Suleiman said: “We are aware of the different antics employed by the opposition parties to deceive innocent Nigerians, especially the Peoples Democratic Party by sponsoring campaign of calumny and blatant lies in the media.
“Defeat is already eminent on them as what we are seeing from them amount to nothing but the last kick from a dying horse.”
He, therefore, called on Nigerians to ignore the antics and falsehood being propagated by opposition parties.
Suleiman urged the electorate to come out massively on Saturday to vote for Buhari to ensure his re-election, saying that this was critical to enable him consolidate on his achievements.
He, however, urged members of the organisation across the country and Nigerians generally to be law abiding before, during and after the election.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the APC Unity Campaign Organisation was formed in 2014 as a support group of the party.
It had been involved in voters education and door-to-door campaigns to ensure the re-election of Buhari.
