The Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, where 16 Officers and Soldiers of the Nigerian Army were killed have been razed.
The report, by award winning television station Channels Television, was supported by a photograph of the scene.
Channels Television is also reporting that there are strong indications that some angry soldiers may have perpetrated the act after their colleagues were killed.

Those killed, from the 63 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Asaba, the Delta State capital, included the Commanding Officer, who is a Lieutenant Colonel, H. Ali.
Others were two Majors, a Captain and 12 Soldiers.
They were killed by youths in the community while on a peace mission.
