The Vice Chairman of Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman, has hailed the President of the Senate, David Mark, on his 64th birthday anniversary.
In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Michael Jegede, to congratulate Mark, Abatemi-Usman noted that Mark has demonstrated to a large extent his political skill and ability in the coordination of the affairs of the highest legislative body in the country.
Describing him as a man of history and honour, Abatemi-Usman, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, added that Mark deserves to be commended by all and sundry for the stability he has brought to stay in the Senate in the last five years.
The statement quoted the Senator as saying: “I congratulate the Senate President, David Mark. His sterling leadership quality has provided an essential stabilising force in the Red Chamber and has greatly helped to deepen and strengthen our democracy.
“His wisdom, fairness and dedication to duty have earned the respect and confidence of all of us his colleagues and the nation at large.
“I, my family and the good people of Kogi Central Senatorial District, wish him many more years of fruitful service to his fatherland.”
