A Grade I Area Court in Kubwa on Thursday issued a bench warrant authorising the arrest of a 35-year-old businesswoman, Priscilla Lampang, and her 25-year-old daughter, Elizabeth.
Justice Muhammad Adamu issued the warrant following an oral application made by the prosecution counsel, Babajide Olanipekun.
The counsel noted that the defendants were absent from defending the charge against them.
Adamu also ordered that the sureties should be served with notices to show cause, why the bail bond entered should not be forfeited.
He adjourned the matter until February 21 for hearing.
The police charged the defendants with criminal trespass, joint act, inciting disturbance and intimidation which they pleaded not guilty to.
Earlier, Olanipekun told the court that the complainant, Cynthia Ownwuzulike of Arab Road, Kubwa, Abuja, reported the matter at Kubwa Police Station on October 15, 2018.
He said Lampang, who was the complainant’s neighbour, poured water on the door step of the complainant.
The prosecution counsel said while the complainant confronted Lampang, the defendant and her daughter threatened to deal with her.
The offence, he said contravened the provisions of sections 79, 114, 343 and 397 of the Penal Code.
