The Chairman, Kebbi Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Muhammad Sarkin-Gobir, says the commission will collaborate with the Nigeria Labour Congress to defend workers against victimisation in the state.
Sarkin-Gobir, who made the remark in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Birnin Kebbi on Friday, said there is need to fight against victimisation of workers and corruption in the state.
According to him, the commission is to oversee the hiring, promotion of workers, as well as promote the value of the public service.
He said: “We are going to partner with the NLC to fight for workers’ promotion, welfare and to prevent their victimisation.
“My office door is open to welcome any complaint from the workers in the state.”
The Kebbi civil service commission chief pledged to continue to protect workers’ rights, irrespective of their ranks and locations.
