Collation of results of Presidential and National Assembly elections from various units continued in various collation centres in Adamawa State on Sunday.
The Adamawa Resident Electoral Commissioner, Malam Baba-Abba Yusuf, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Yola that so far no result had been released for the elections in Adamawa State.
A News Agency of Nigeria correspondent who visited the collation centre for Michika/Madagali Federal Constituency at Ribadu Square in Yola, said as at 9.30am, officials were still waiting for results from some wards.
Meanwhile, some Yola residents had continued to express happiness with the peaceful conduct of the elections and hoped that the peace would be sustained.
Malam Mohammad Isa, a resident, said: “I am happy that the elections took place peacefully without any negative incidence.”
Hajiya Amina Musa, another resident, said: “We thank God that the elections took place peacefully.
“We pray that the peaceful atmosphere would be sustained.”
