CAN President urge Nigerians to imbibe teachings of Holy Books

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has called on Nigerians to imbibe and practice the teachings of the Holy Books to promote national unity and growth.
This was contained in a statement signed by Oritsejafor and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Abuja.
The statement quoted him as saying that it is high time Nigerians put aside their differences and work with relevant authorities in the New Year to move the country forward.
He said: “I also urge us all to stand firm in support of state apparatuses to defeat the evil of insurgency and other vices confronting the country.
“Nigerians must fight to defeat ills that have retarded the growth of their country and promote those positive virtues that are capable of prepositioning its economy.
“Let us put the wrongs of the past behind us and move on as a nation.”
Oritsejafor said the year 2015 had indeed tested the nation to wax stronger and forge ahead.
He said: “The true Nigerian spirit was tested in the course of the year and the rest is now history.
“I urge all Nigerians to join forces in the New Year and work toward the general good of the country.”
Oritsejafor further called on all citizens to reflect on the challenges that impeded Nigeria’s progress with a view to tackle them as the New Year approaches.
While praying that the year 2016 would be a better year for every Nigerian, he congratulated Nigerians for being resolute in the year 2015.
