For his inspirational leadership and immense contributions to the development of Bussdor Football Club over the years, the management of the Port Harcourt-based team has reappointed former Abia State Fovernor and Pillar of Sports in Africa, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, as the deputy chairman.
In a statement signed by the President and Proprietor of Bussdor, Oscar Igbokwe, dated October 27, the management said the board, after its meeting on October 21, decided to reappoint the business mogul for another tenure.
He was first appointed on March 14, 2013.
The statement by the management order: “We are pleased to inform you that the board of Bussdor United FC after her board meeting on October 21 deemed it fit to reappoint you as the Deputy Chairman of the club.
“This reappointment was necessitated by your sterling leadership qualities demonstrated over the past two years that you were appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the club.
“We appreciate your outstanding contributions to the development of the club and the game of football in Nigeria, Africa and the world over. We therefore wish you God’s continuous protection, strength and the courage to carry out your responsibilities diligently.”
