The Senate will on Thursday hold a closed door session with the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mele Kyari, ahead of the passage of the Petroleum Industrial Bill.
The Senate will be in closed session with the GMD for an hour before embarking on the consideration of the PIB.
The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, made this known while speaking on the floor on Wednesday, informing the senators that the day’s plenary will be very brief in order to enable the lawmakers to go through the report.
He said the purpose of the meeting was to enable the Senators have the knowledge of technical areas in the bill.
