Gunmen on Thursday morning attacked Lagos State Model School, Epe.
Among those said to have been whisked away by the gunmen were the Vice Principal of the school, a teacher and several pupils.
The number of students abducted, however, was still a subject of dispute as at press time.
While a source puts it at “hundreds of students”, another source said only four were taken away initially, with two retrieved from the abductors.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, has confirmed the development.
Owoseni has since left to join detectives of the State Police Command at the scene of the incident.
