Soldiers and armed Policemen have been deployed in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

This followed the continuation of the #EndSARS protest across the country.

In Ado-Ekiti, protesters who had gathered under the popular Fajuyi Bridge were prevented from proceeding.

Though the Soldiers did not move close to the protesters, the placard-bearing protesters could also not proceed further, calling for help as they described their move as non-violent.

In Abuja, as earlier reported by The Eagle Online, armed policemen had taken over strategic locations in the capital city as early as 5am.

They were later joined by well armed Soldiers.

Among areas of deployment were Aya Roundabout, Asokoro and the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Also covered were Dantata Bridge and Area 1.
