A bomb that was planted at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Model Market, Suleja, Niger State, has been successfully defused.
The bomb was discovered at about 8am by traders who arrived early at the market on Wednesday.
The Improvised Explosive Device was wrapped in a cellophane bag.
The police was alerted immediately, leading to the deployment of the Anti-Bomb Squad of the Niger State Police Command to the market.
Trading has since resumed in the market.
