Dreaded sect, Boko Haram, on Monday morning released a video purportedly showing some of the 234 girls they abducted at the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State.
A report monitored by The Eagle Online on the Cable News Network showed some people in the Islamic covering for women, the hijab.
According to CNN, the video was first obtained by the French news agency, AFP.
Those in the hijab were shown reciting the Quran, according to the report.
Though the identities of the girls could not be confirmed because of the hijab, those who sent the video out insisted they were the same girls taken forcefully from Chibok on April 14, 2014.
The Boko Haram sect has promised to release the girls only in exchange for their members who are being held in various detention centres, especially in Borno State.
Getting to free their incarcerated members has been one of the reasons the Boko Haram members have launched attacks on military barracks in Borno State.
