Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles has been drawn against Italy and Mexico in Group B of the forthcoming FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017 slated for April 27 to May 7 in Bahamas.
The draw, held in Nassau, Bahamas, revealed that Nigeria will play Italy, while the hosts Bahamas will face Switzerland in their opening matches of the competition on April 27.
Group A also includes Ecuador and Senegal.
The draw ceremony was held in the special presence of the Rt. Hon. Perry Gladstone Christie, the Prime Minister Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
Assisting in the draw ceremony were FIFA Legend, Emerson, former midfielder for Brazil’s national football team; and Miss Bahamas Universe 2016, Cherell Williamson.
Asia’s three representatives at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017 will be determined at the regional qualifiers taking place between March 4 and 11.
