The Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, has nominated his Chief of Staff, Audu Sule Katagum, as his deputy, Nigerian Tribune is reporting.
The highly reliable newspaper said it learnt that Abubakar has already transmitted the name of the replacement of Nuhu Gidado to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for confirmation.
Katagum, if confirmed, will be replacing Gidado, who resigned last week Wednesday.
The Bauch State House of Assembly is expected to convene as emergency plenary for the purpose of confirming the nominee, who is an architect and from Azare area of the state.
The Assembly is is currently on recess.
