Soldiers deployed in Jos, Plateau State have killed four protesting youths.
This has led to a full blown riot by the youths in the city.
The youths, who were reportedly murdered, were shot by the soldiers in Maidiko area of the city.
The youths killed by the soldiers were said to be part of those that embarked on reprisal attacks following Sunday’s suicide bombing at St. Finbar’s Catholic Church, Rayfield, Jos.
According to reports and as was first reported by The Eagle Online yesterday, Maidiko area literally became a theatre of war yesterday after the bombing of the Catholic Church in which 11 persons have been confirmed dead.
The sporadic and heavy gun shots led residents of the area into believing that another blast had occurred at the Church of Christ in Nigeria in the area.
By the time the dust from the shooting cleared, at least four of the rampaging youths had been confirmed killed by the soldiers.
