Army accused of killing two other sons of Zakzaky, + photos

The Nigerian Army has been accused of killing two other sons of the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky.
A statement from the Shiite sect’s spokesman on Tuesday identified the sons of the Islamic cleric as Sayyid Hammad and Sayyid Ali Haidar, his seventh and eighth sons.
They were allegedly among the over 500 persons the Shiite sect said were killed by soldiers between Saturday and Sunday in Zaria, Kaduna State, where there was a clash over the right of passage of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai.
This brings to three the sons of Zakzaky that have been identified killed in the clash with the Nigerian Army.
His third son was identified among the 12 allegedly killed in his house on Sunday morning.
The Muslim Shia were marking the birthday of prophet Muhammad when the clash occurred.
The house of Sheikh Zakzaky was also said to have been burnt as well as the headquarters of the sect.
The sect also alleged that troops of the Nigerian Army are digging graves to bury the dead from the clash.
The sect said it was a way of concealing the number of dead in the clash by the Nigerian Army.
