Participants of the Senior Course 39 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji have lauded Governor Nysom Wike of Rivers State for infrastructural development in the state in spite of the economic crisis facing the nation.
Simon Nwakaudu, the Special Assistant to Wike on Electronic Media, said in a statement that the leader of the team, Brigadier General Johnson Irefen, noted that the works of the governor were a testimony of quality leadership after a tour of project sites.
Irefen said: “The good works of the governor are perfectly in line with our theme for this tour, which is: ‘Public Private Partnership: Enhancing Economic Development.’
“Where else can we see such examples, other than the places we visited today with the governor.
“He is doing well bearing in mind the economic downturn. We have seen good structures, projects.”
In his remarks, Wike said his administration was serious about developing Port Harcourt into a modern city that would attract tourists.
He said his vision was to return Port Harcourt to its glorious days where all indigenes of the state would be proud.
