A member of the All Progressives Congress Board of Trustees, Chief Sam Nkire, has predicted a landslide victory for the party in the forthcoming governorship election in Kogi State.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja at the weekend, Chief Nkire said he came to this conclusion knowing that Prince Abubakar Audu was the most popular politician in Kogi State today.
According to him, Audu, just like President Muhammadu Buhari, had always won his elections since 2003, but was never declared winner at the end of the day.
He therefore urged the people of Kogi State to come out en mass this time to insist that Prince Audu rightly becomes their next governor.
Nkire added that he was sure Audu was the right man for the job giving his record of performance and the poor state of infrastructure in the state today.
Speaking further, the APC chieftain said his party stood the chances of winning the two governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States, adding that Presedent Buhari’s popularity and goodwill were enough to ensure that Audu and Chief Timipre Silva became governors of Kogi and Bayelsa States respectively.
