Less than 48 hours after 18 persons were killed in Damboa Market in Borno State by suspected Boko Haram members, the sect has again killed another three and injured a soldier in the Jiddari-Polo area of Maiduguri, the state capital.
Information from the Joint Task Force on Wednesday said the suspected Boko Haram members trailed the victims to their houses in the early hours of Wednesday.
Spokesman of the JTF, Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa, said two of the suspected Boko Haram members were killed, two arrested and a soldier injured in a shootout.
The confrontation lasted for about 30 minutes.
