The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Chinwike Asadu, at the family House in Enugu, Enugu State.
Ahmed, who described Asadu as one of the finest police officers he has ever met, said he was an exemplary commissioner who operated with remarkable modesty and decorum and respect for the rule of law.
“Indeed, the state will miss his services as a highly experience officer who operated with passion for service and unprecedented humility,” Ahmed said.
According to Governor Ahmed, the late commissioner of police played a prominent part in ensuring the security of lives and property of the people of the state, especially during the recent crisis in Offa and Erin-Ile.
Ahmed implored the family to take the unfortunate incident as an act of God and prayed God to grant him eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The widow of the deceased, Mrs. Oby Asadu, expressed appreciation to the governor and people of Kwara State for the love and concern shown to the family during the unfortunate incident.
