Aluko vows to lift Hull City

Hull City striker, Sone Aluko, is determined to use last season’s disappointment as the driving force behind their promotion bid

The Tigers endured a terrible campaign last season, which led to relegation from the Premier League, but they most certainly cannot afford to feel sorry for themselves as they now prepare for life in the extremely competitive Championship.

Aluko is keen to shrug off last season’s bitter disappointment and is looking to use the pain of relegation to help earn promotion from the Championship this term.

“Pre-season will be as intense and important to us as when we got promoted to the Premier League last time,” Aluko told the BBC.

“Because there’s nothing worse in life than tasting something and then never getting to taste it again. It’s painful so we all want to get back there.”
