The Adamawa State Government through the Ministry of Works and Housing on Thursday at a public bidding ceremony told newsmen that it will carry out the construction of Ganye, Vunikland, Guyuk, Numan and Yola township roads.
The Commissioner, Lilian Nabe Stephen, said the opening ceremony of the bidding organised by the Ministry is in-tune with transparency and countability of the present Administration led by Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow in making sure all roads in the state are well constructed.
While addressing newsmen in her office in Yola, Stephen charged all the intending contractors seeking to handle township roads in those LGAs to align themselves with the bidding process.
She said a total of 2km road is to be constructed in Vunikiland Town, Ganye town has been given 6.6km, 1.7km is to be done in Numan Town, Guyuk town has 2.5km roads and Yola town is to have a 900.7 metres.
The reconstruction company bidding are Roycon Nigeria Limited, Triacta, CREC, TEC, R&B Limited, Elegance and EEC Company Limited.
In their Goodwill messages, the Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Zare Baba; Deputy Permanent Secretary, Engineer Suleiman Abubakar; and Yakubu Mbale all commended the contractors for trusting the State Government and assured them of transparency.
