The Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (South), Chief Olusegun Oni, has congratulated Aare Gani Abiodun Ige Adams on his installation as the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland.
Oni joined the array of prominent Nigerians from far and near who have been congratulating Adams on his recent appointment.
In a letter on Monday, the APC chieftain said: “I congratulate you on your coronation as the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland by His imperial Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, III. It is a well-deserved and worthy appointment for which we are all very proud.
“Your new position carries tremendous responsibility and total dedication to the good and glory of Yoruba race. It is also engaging, especially, in this challenging time in our nation’ s development and the position of the Yoruba race in the scheme of things. I have no doubt whatsoever, in my mind that you are equal to the task, and I believe your tenure will usher in a new era for us in a way that will further promote and defend our unity, custom and tradition.”
Oni also expressed appreciation to Oba Adeyemi, describing his judgment on the appointment of Aare Adams as sound and well-informed.
Adams was installed the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland on January 13, 2018 at a historic and epoch-making event at Durbar Stadium, Oyo town, Oyo State.
