A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Sam Nkire, says President Muhammadu Buhari is already winning the war against corruption in Nigeria.
The Abia State-born politician spoke in Abuja.
Nkire said the fact that there were no reports of money changing hands during the screening of the ministerial nominees was a plus for the Buhari administration.
Chief Nkire therefore commended members of 8th National Assembly for not demanding or accepting bribe from the new ministers during the recent screening exercise.
He said this singular act of members of the Senate could be interpreted to mean that the National Assembly and indeed Nigerians were forsaking bribery and corruption.
Nkire further said with the National Assembly joining the war against corruption, it was only a matter of time before corruption is reduced to its bearest minimum.
He therefore called on members of the public to emulate the example of the Senate to eradicate bribery and corruption in the country.
