Following deteriorating security situation in some parts of Plateau, the state government on Tuesday imposed a curfew on seven Local Government Areas between 10pm and 5am.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communication, C. C Bello, in a statement listed the affected Councils.
They are: in Barkin Ladi, Riyom, Jos East, Mangu, Wase, Langtang North and South local government areas.
He also directed the State Emergency Management Agency to provide relief materials to the internally displaced persons in the affected areas.
Accordingly, he said security agencies have been deployed to ensure compliance and forestall future occurrence in the areas.
The citizens of the state are also called upon to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement around them, urging them to go about their normal activities.
