Intending pilgrims from Rivers State, South South Nigeria have arrived safely in Madinah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This was contained in a statement issued by Aminu Muhammad Kabir, affirming that the arrival signals spiritual journey by the pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj.
The arrival, on Friday, Kabir of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria disclosed, was made possible through the determination and support of suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

In spite of his suspension from office, Kabir indicated that Fubara ensured that Muslim pilgrims from the state were not denied the opportunity to fulfill this sacred religious duty.
The Rivers State contingent was led by Alhaji Abdurrazaq Cline Diepriye, who is responsible for coordinating Hajj operations in the State.
The pilgrims departed earlier on Friday aboard an Air Peace flight from Port Harcourt International Airport.
Alhaji Diepriye showered prayers and praises on the governor while also commending the pilgrims for being orderly.
