Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Globalupfront Newspaper (Online), Madu Onuorah.
According to available information, the former Bureau Chief of The Guardian newspaper was arrested on Wednesday at 6pm.
About 10 armed policemen picked up Onuorah from his residence in Lugbe, Abuja in two Sienna buses in the presence of his wife and children.

As at press time on Thursday, information gathered was that he was being taken to Ebonyi State for an offence that was not made known to him.
The management of Globalupfront newspapers has demanded the unconditional release of Onuorah.
It said: “Anybody who has any issue against Mr. Onuorah should approach the law court and not turn the Nigerian Police into a Gestapo outfit that bullies a man in the presence of his wife and children.
