Umeh: NFF watching events in Plateau, Yobe FAs

The Executive Committee of Nigeria Football Federation has received reports of the dissolution of the Plateau State Football Association and the suspension of the Chairman and 1st Vice Chairman of Yobe State Football Association, from the Secretaries of those Associations.
A letter dated August 7, 2014 and signed by Tijjani Jibril, Secretary of Yobe State Football Association, informed the NFF that the Congress of the State FA passed a vote of no confidence on the Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Garba, and the 1st Vice Chairman, Umar Suleiman, for several reasons, including failure to call meetings for the past four years.
The 2nd Vice Chairman of Yobe State Football Association, Mohamad Kalli, was said to have taken over as Chairman.
As for Plateau State, the NFF was informed that at its Congress held on August 9, 2014, the entire Board of Plateau State Football Association was thrown overboard.
However, the Acting President of Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Mike Umeh, said on Wednesday that the nation’s supreme football-governing body is still watching events in the two states.
Umeh said: “Yes, we received the reports as conveyed by the Secretaries of the Football Associations in the two States. But we are still studying these reports and will come out with our position very soon.”
