The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammed Sanusi (11), cut short his visit to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Sa’ad (111), and rushed back to Kano to commiserate with the victims of the School of Hygiene bomb blast in Kano.
Rather than head for the palace from the Kano International Airport, the Emir, alongside his entourage, headed straight to the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, where visited all the injured at their respective hospital beds and wished them speedy recovery.
While condemning the bomb attack, the Emir prayed the Almighty Allah for the repose of the souls of the departed, as well as the fortitude for the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss of their loved ones.
Shortly after the sympathy visit, the Emir, accompanied by his entourage, departed the hospital premises and drove to the palace.
Earlier, the state Governor, Malam Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who visited the injured at the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, condemned the attack.
Kwankwaso also pledged that the state government will pay their hospital bills.
It would be recalled that a bomb blast rocked the School of Hygiene located on old BUK site road.
No fewer than eight persons were killed and about 24 injured.
