The Kebbi State Police Command said it has arrested three people for being in possession of N17 million cash.
The Command’s Commissioner, CP Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, confirmed this to newsmen on Wednesday.
Kontagora said on January 29, 2023 at about 9:10am, police personnel attached to Warrah Police Station with the help of officials of the National Union of Road Transport Workers at Warrah Motor Park, arrested three persons in possession of currency notes worth the sum of N17,000,000, reasonably suspected to be counterfeit.
The suspects are: Faruku Zubairu, Ibrahim Musa and Salisu Mohammed, all of Gungun Tawaye and Chupamini villages, Ngaski Local Government Area.
According to Kontagora, investigation has been completed and the suspects will soon be charged to court for prosecution.
