No fewer than 25 persons, including politicians, who were on their way to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, to attend the All Progressives stakeholders meeting/congress were slaughtered by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in separate attacks in Gwoza Local Government Areas and along the Maiduguri‑Biu Road.
The 18 APC members were killed on Sunday by the suspected Boko Haram members.
Those killed on the Maiduguri-Biu Road were ambushed by their attackers.
