The Katsina State Government has declared April 11, 2022 as work-free day to enable workers and their families to vote at the local government elections scheduled for that day.
Alhaji Usman Isyaku, Permanent Secretary Administration, Office of the Head of Civil Service, revealed this.
Isyaku made the declaration in a statement he issued in Katsina on Friday.
He urged workers to seize the opportunity to peacefully exercise their franchise by voting candidates of their choice.
The state Independent Electoral Commission fixed April 11 as date for elections across the 34 local councils in the state.
