A former Governor of Lagos State and one of the national leaders of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has returned to Nigeria after several months of medical treatment overseas.
Tinubu returned on Saturday afternoon to a rousing welcome by senior officials of the APC, Lagos State Government officials and well wishers at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Among those who welcomed him at about 1:30pm were the Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola; and the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
Shortly after the airport formalities, Tinubu proceeded to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos State, where he visited the survivors of Thursday’s air crash.
Among those Tinubu was said to have seen was Feyi, the son of the late Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu.
This, however, could not be independently verified.
Tinubu, as at press time, was yet to get to his Banana Island home in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
