A one-and-half-year-old baby and three students who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Saturday have been kidnapped.
The victims were kidnapped along the Birnin Gwari-Kaduna Highway in Kaduna State on Monday.
The students were said to be returning from Kaduna to Birnin Gwari after writing their examination when they were kidnapped by the bandits.
So also did the bandits kill the driver of a former member of the House of Representatives.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Muhammad Jalige, has confirmed the development.
Jalige said a combined team of mobile policemen and anti-kidnapping squad of the command have been deployed to Birnin Gwari to rescue the victims as well as arrest the bandits.
