The Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has called on opposition parties in the country to be more constructive and progressive in their criticism of the ruling parties.
Ahmed gave this advice in his congratulatory messages to the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and his Niger State counterpart, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, on their victories at the Supreme Court.
While congratulating the governors, Ahmed said if opposition across political parties were more constructive and circumspect in their criticism, Nigeria’s democracy would have taken a firmer root.
Ahmed, therefore, advised Governors Kwankwaso and Aliyu to remain magnanimous in victory by running and all-inclusive administration that will accommodate all progressives for the good of the citizens.
The governor urged his counterparts to remain focused on the implementation of people-oriented programmes, which necessitated their victories during the governorship elections in their states and at the courts.
