Few weeks back, it was rumoured that popular Nigerian acts, Paul and Peter Okoye, better known as P-Square, have parted ways over irreconcilable differences.
It was even said their elder brother turned manager, Jude Okoye, was unable to douse the tension between his celebrated younger brothers.
Though many believed the story could be true because it was their late mum who had much influence on them staying together.
And she was also said to be responsible for the love that radiates between them while she was alive.
Others perceived it as money issue.
And Jude, being their elder brother, may not have that power to arrest the situation.
But a close source to the Okoyes disclosed to The Eagle Online that while the rumour was its peak in Nigeria, the P-Square acts were outside the country busy taking their music around the continent where they are arguably the most popular act from Nigeria.
In a recent interview with the popular group, Okoye said: “Peter and Paul are not perfect.
“We quarrel like normal siblings do.
“But we don’t let it affect our business.
“Even with Jude our brother in business as our manager, he respects us as the artistes he manages.
“But when it comes to family matters, he is our elder brother and we give him that respect.
“Only our late mum had the power to make us split.
“It will not be as a result of quarrel but on mutual ground.”
The brothers said group splits are not out of place but their own blood tie keeps them strong.
The Okoyes said: “Our background won’t even allow us split. We understand each other very well.”
