The Kaduna State Government on Monday said it had disengaged staff of moribund Zaria Pharmaceuticals, Ikara Tomato and Kachia Ginger Processing Plants.
The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Shehu Danfulani, made the disclosure to newsmen in Kaduna after the State Executive Council meeting.
Danfulani said approval had been given to pay outstanding salaries of the disengaged staff that rendered services to the companies after about five years of closure.
The commissioner said with this development, the companies were open to investors.
He said the commercialisation of the companies was already being processed and open to investors.
