The Federal Government has declared Thursday and Friday public holidays in commemoration of the celebration of this year’s Sallah.
Sallah is celebrated by the Muslim world in commemoration of the descent from the Holy Mount in Saudi Arabia by those undergoing pilgrimage.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Mohammed, had earlier declared October 26 as the date for the celebration of Sallah.
