The Lagos State Football Association has registered 53 clubs for this year’s edition of the state’s FA Cup, slated to kick off on March 5.
The body’s Technical Committee Chairman, Dotun Coker, informed that 53 clubs have beat the registration deadline, saying more teams are expected to register before the due date.
Coker added that the competition’s draws is slated to hold at the Lagos SWAN Secretariat, Surulere, Lagos on March 1.
A seminar, according to the football administrator, has been put together by the FA to avail the participants with the new tricks of the game.
The seminar holds on February 21 at Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos Island.
“All is set for this year’s event and i can assure you that the competition is going to be bigger and better than previous ones,” he promised.
Meanwhile, players licenses and team sheets are ready for collection at the Lagos State FA Secretariat.
The Christ Ambassador Football Club are the defending champions in the male category, while Christ of David Ladies were female category winners.
