Ahead of the general elections holding in February 2019, the Grand political Coalition of the Third Force Movement in Nigeria, driven by the Nigeria Intervention Movement and led by the duo of Olisa Agbakoba (SAN) and Dr. AbdulJalil Tafawa Balewa has decided to initiate a strategic national consultation for all presidential aspirants in the country in a bid to ensure a cohesive impact of fresh breed political leaders of the third force movement in the 2019 elections.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the National Publicity Secretary of the movement, Mallam Nasser Kura.
Kura said the historic consultative interface between the apex of the third force Grand Coalition and presidential aspirants in the 2019 elections, tagged: “National Presidential Roundtable,” is being initiated to become a standing platform for regular engagement of prospective presidents of Nigeria ahead of national elections in Nigeria
He said: “This presidential dialogue, when convened is intended to be an independent forum that will elect its own panel to steer and moderate the proceedings and resolutions of the platform towards a better rapport, understanding and agreement on how fresh breed emergent political leaders in the country can approach and engage the 2019 elections so that one of them can eventually emerged as the new leader of Nigeria”
“We have also deliberately conceived this initiative to happen in Abuja on May 29th 2018; one year to the inauguration and handing over ceremony of the incoming President of Nigeria so as to elicit and demonstrate the national importance of the agenda among the fresh breed political leaders of the country”
“The Grand Coalition of the third force movement is determined not to leave any stone unturned at this point in its ongoing mobilization to take power from the entrenched exploitative political order of country in 2019 hence the need for NIM to build a formidable cohesion for the third force movement ahead of the 2019 elections.”
Some of the new breed presidential aspirants who will be invited to attend the special presidential roundtable holding on May 29, 2018 in Abuja are Kingsley Moghalu, Fela Durotoye, Omoyele Sowore, Jaiye Gaskia, Lady Elishama Ideh, Wilson Ikubese, John Darah, Tanko Yinusa, Shina Fagbenro Byron, Ahmed Buhari, Garba Dauda and Alistar Soyode among 30 other fresh breed presidential aspirants slated for intervention at the historic roundtable, which will be followed by another round of dialogue with select credible and untainted presidential aspirants from the old political order.
