The Director-General of the Buhari Support Centre, Alhaji Umaru Dembo, on Tuesday in Abuja assured General Muhammadu Buhari of its support in his quest to become the next president of the country.
“This is why we created a department within the Buhari Campaign Organisation for us to oversee activities of all the support groups to ensure our goal,” Dembo said.
He told the News Agency of Nigeria that the group believed Buhari was the best candidate to move the country forward because of his “integrity, honesty and accountability and his track record”.
Dr. Peter Oganto, the National Chairman of Project Reach forth Nigeria, another group, also said the group would work for the realisation of Buhari’s presidential ambition in 2015.
The Secretary of Buhari Friends Organisation, Athanasius Okon, said the group had the commenced education of its members to ensure they got their permanent voter cards.
Okon said: “We have told them that with their voter cards, victory will be ours if they come out in their numbers and bring at least one person along to the polling units.
“It is each person tell one.
“No one should come out alone.
“We must take advantage of the overwhelming love Buhari enjoys by coming out to vote for him.”
No fewer than 66 pressure groups in Abuja met with Buhari, who is aspiring on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Buhari, at the forum, urged them to behave well.
