A former Governor of Kaduna State, Ramalan Yero, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Yero was arrested on Tuesday by EFCC operatives.
Sources said his arrest was in connection with the $115 million released to chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
He was said to have received N700 million out of the money.
As at press time, Yero was still with operatives of the EFCC at its Kano office.
