Opara picked the bronze medal behind Indian duo of S. Khumukcham and M. Chanu Saikhom, who won gold and silver medal respectively in the 48kg category.
In the snatch, the Nigerian lifted 70kg, just as she improved by lifting 92kg in the clean and jerk event to record 162kg in total.

Four years ago in New Delhi, India, Team Nigeria got 11 gold, eight silver and 14 bronze medals to place 13th on the final medals table.
