Over 200 delegates of Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates Association, Lagos State chapter will on April 30 converge on Lagos to discuss investment opportunities for professionals.
A statement by Alhaji Mohammed Buari, the Chairman, 2017 UNIFEMGA Annual Public Lecture and Luncheon, said the lecture will be delivered by Alhaji Abdul Ahmed Mustapha, the Permanent Secretary, Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment (Lagos).
The lecture is entitled: “Strategic Imperatives and Opportunities for Investments and Wealth Creation by Nigerian Muslim Professionals in Lagos.”
Buari said the topic was driven by the need to diversify Nigeria’s economy from crude oil, encourage participation of Muslim professionals in entrepreneurship and create alternative sources of income, amongst others.
He said Mosun Belo-Olusoga, the Chairman of Access Bank, will be the chairperson of the occasion.
According to Buari, the event will hold at the De Renaissance Hotel, 172, Obafemi Awolowo Road, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos from 10am.
The association, which holds an annual lecture and luncheon to sensitise its members and members of the public on important issues that are beneficial, is committed to all-round human development based on Islamic values.
“This event will create a good learning experience and networking platform for the attendees,” Buari stated in the statement.
